KULA 96790

While visiting Maui, we spent a week in Upcountry Kula. It is such a beautiful rural setting. Rolling green hills along the side of Haleakala, filled with cows, horses, goats, sheep, and even deer. Quite a change of scene from the tourist-filled beaches of Kihei!

We often drove past this group of mailboxes along the Kula Hwy, directly across from the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park. They always caught my eye and seemed to have so much character.

I love this painting Lisa! It's a side of Hawaii that one doesn't often think of. The mail boxes really do make a very interesting subject!

I'd love to see deer in Hawaii. They seem so common here where we live-beautiful animals for sure, but nothing special. We see them all the time. How cool though, to see them in Hawaii!
