PLANTATION ROW ~ COLORS ALL AGLOW

After a month in the “Xterra Dryer Rack” my large Plantation House palette knife painting is finally dry and ready to go.

"Plantation Row
Colors All Aglow"
18x36 Palette Knife Painting
SOLD

This is a scene of Koele Street on the island of Lana'i.
In the late afternoon, the sun casts long shadows across the landscape, with just enough light to make the little plantation hales glow with even more color than they already have!

Below are some photos of the painting in progress.

Sky always first.

I had never painted Cook Island Pines until visiting Lana'i.

One more hale to go!

Now for the really fun part!

I decided to go crazy with the foliage, making it THICK AND JUICY (which is why the painting took so long to dry).

Ooey Gooey Banana and Ti leaf!

ALL PAU!
(Never mind the dork with the knife.)
Mahalo for taking the time to view my artwork.

ALOHA FROM LANA'I!
