DAWN PATROL GUINEA PIGS

Needed to practice painting waves, so I decided to make it more fun and include the Dawn Patrol Gang that we surf with each morning!

I gave "Crazy Dave" his nickname because he is usually out there before first light, when it is still so dark that you can't quite see the rocks that break the surface of the water.
Mental!

"Prince Henry" always seems to be in the right spot at the right time and usually ends up catching The Wave Of The Day, such as this "royally" deep barrel - hence the nickname.

"Coach" got his nickname because the first time I met him, the words out of his mouth were not "Hello, it's nice to meet you". It was more along the lines of "Hey, you need to stand back a bit more on your board so you can turn it sharper. You're riding it like a longboarder". To say he didn't make a very good first impression is an understatement! But over time, I learned to appreciate his somewhat obnoxious (but funny) personality. He still gives me useful surfing tips and we always look forward to his wacky board antics whenever he is out there in the lineup!
