Last month, I was finally able to find some time for another wonderful
Maui Paintcation.
Here are some of the souvenirs I came back home with.

This was my first visit to Palauea Beach. It is a scenic, uncrowded beach in Makena. Although the morning was a bit gray, it was still a great painting day.

We stayed in a beautiful condo in Wailea that had it's own private garden with spectacular views. It was easy to set up the easel here one afternoon and paint away!

This adorable little guy was our daily companion out on the lanai. He also provided a bit of constructive criticism as I painted!

Taking some time to soak it all in!

Enough vegging, time to bust out the paints!

We took a day to visit all four MAUI HANDS Galleries that display my work. Their locations are in Paia, Makawao, Lahaina, and Ka'anapali. I was stoked to see two of my pieces in the showcase window at the Hyatt Maui Hands (two top vertical 11x14's in dark frames), which both sold just days after we returned home!

I spent one morning seeking out secluded beach access paths and came upon this place just off of Waiohuli.

This is the view looking the other way. Sometimes the most beautiful scenery can be found in unexpected places!

Since Palauea was such a nice beach to paint, I went back one afternoon and painted looking the other way. It was windy and overcast, but still a pretty little beach.

While driving Maui's North Shore, we came to this tropical spot.

Unfortunately, I didn't have my paints with me, so I had to settle for a photo instead. I came back to plein air it a few times, but the lighting and weather conditions were never good.
This was my only one shot at Camp One.
Guess I will have to try again on my next Maui Paintcation!

Since scouting out places to paint takes a lot of time, I decided to make our last day on Maui easy and paint from our back garden again. It was a perfect last painting day!

Brighton says "Enough painting MOM! Let's go enjoy one more LOONNNGGGG beach walk before we have to go back home."

Mahalo for taking the time to view my artwork.
