One fun reward of painting many, many mini's is that you get a lot of practice with the palette knife. Another advantage is seeing which compositions and scenes work well. When there is a mini scene that I enjoy painting, I usually try it in larger sizes too.

On the south side of Kauai sits this adorable little plantation house, owned by a couple that exude ALOHA.
They love cats and coffee, and cook up some of the best pasteles on the Island!
