This weekend, we hiked Koko Head,
above Hanauma Bay.

From here, you can see the entire bay, as well as some spectacular views of Hawaii Kai, Koko Crater, and Maunalua Bay.

The trail is a bit steep and slippery in some places, so it's good to leave da slippahs at home.

Near the far end of the crater, you get a really different perspective of
Koko Crater. (Not to be confused with Koko Head.)
Sandy Beach is in the distance.

Entrance to Hanauma Bay with Koko Crater and the gorgeous Ka Iwi coastline.

Out on the point, it can be quite windy. Hold on to your hat
(and your little dog!)

Now for the grueling hike back up out of the crater.

But all the hard work pays off for beautiful views like this!
